Description

One-of-a-kind beautiful, all natural pine needle basket. This is a traditional basket coiled with natural raffia from Madagascar and decorated with teneriffe in the center. Pine needles are of Pinus roxburghii tree commonly known as longleaf Indian Pine tree.

It is given a finish of beeswax to add a protective sheen.

Pine needles used in this basket were collected freshly from pruned brances by hand then kept in a dark environment for at least 6 months allowing them to dry off. Over time, they turn brown and get darker in color.

Patience and pine needles are two main ingredients for pine needle baskets. Pine needle baskets are fragrant and depending on use and care, will last years.
